Yesterday, Adam Hrycaniuk and Larry Abia visited American School of Valencia representing the starting lineup of the Valencia Basket Club. The Polish center as well as the homegrown player participated in a Grade 4-6 assembly and talked about their experience in sports and answered questions about the daily routine and different duties of a professional basketball player.
During the assembly our students actively participated and were eager to ask all kinds of questions such as the diet of an athlete, the Valencia BC training techniques or the rivals from whom they have learned most. There was also time to relive some special moments of this season by watching videos of the orange team. Hrycaniuk talked about his experience in the United States, where he completed his postsecondary education at the University of Cincinnati while playing in the NCAA, a prestigious university basketball association.
The athletes demonstrated themselves to be very talented and sociable. In fact, at the end of the assembly they signed posters and had a picture with both Grade 6 classes in the school garden.
