To guarantee the quality of food our students deserve and their families request, we have our own kitchen which is run by a group of professionals specializing in food and diets.
The Coordinator of School Services closely supervises the menus, student and family satisfaction samples, and the supervision of students in the lunch line and at the tables. The school nurse also plays an important role in advising on healthy dietary requirements.
All menus are approved by the school after a dietary assessment has been carried out by professionals. Special menus are provided for students who require them for different reasons,
Children who attend Nursery (2 years of age) eat in their classrooms with the help of specific staff. All other students eat in the school lunch room, which has a capacity of 450 pupils. Preschool students are served food at their tables and there is a self-service system for the other students.
Staff supervises the children at all times to ensure that children are eating well and that procedures are being followed.
During the school year, 3 meals are prepared around a theme to make students aware of the customs of other countries, cultures and races. Students are also taught good table manners and eating habits, as we believe the time spent in the lunch room forms part of the all-around education of our students.
Quality controls are carried out periodically by students using the lunch room service. The kitchen staff is informed of the results to provide for continual improvement in our procedures and menus in order to achieve the highest level of satisfaction for the students.
