The spirit of Colegio Hispano-Norteamericano, S.A. reflected in all of its General Shareholders Meetings, is that the school repurchases the share of those parents whose children finish their studies (Grade 12) in the School, or reach that level in a different school, whenever the income of new shareholders covers the expenditure. Each family purchases a maximum of 2 shares.

The annual registration fee is usually payable in May, and guarantees a place for the following school year. No charge for third and subsequent sibling.

TEMPORARY STUDENTS
The temporary students who will be attending the School for a maximum of four years (1 or 2 or 3 or 4) will not buy the Share/Bond.

1. The annual registration fee is subject to the purchase of a share only one time in the student life for the amount of 2.500 Euros. The maximum number of shares is 2 per family. If the intention of the parents is to enroll the student to attend school for only 1, 2, 3, or 4 school years, the family won’t be able to buy the share and will have to pay 665 Euros (instead of the amount stated in the chart above of 215 euros) as the annual registration fee which is non-reimbursable.

 

2. The annual school fees are divided into ten monthly payments which are billed from September to June during the first week of the month in order to be paid within one week. For Grade 12 the month of June will also be invoiced without considering whether the students attend or do not attend school due to the dates when the Selectividad exams are held.

 

3. The amounts invoiced for any above mentioned item and according to the dates set by the School, will not be reimbursable once the formal withdrawal has been submitted to the school.

 

DISCOUNT POLICY FOR FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN TWO CHILDREN
Discounts for families with more than two children enrolled at the same time as long as they keep this situation:

C) Additional items

Extracurricular activities, field trips, graduations, trips, books and any other items than the ones above will be invoiced separately, parents will receive an authorization form itemizing the content and cost of these additional items.

The figures above reflect the fees for September 2009 and may fluctuate from year to year. The fees will be updated according to the fees published by the IB organization in November 2008. Any other additional expenses incurred by the student will be invoiced according to the fees published by the IB organization at any given time (For Instance: Appeals,copies,…)
 
E) Continuity Insurance
The school offers an insurance plan through a prestigious insurance company. This insurance plan helps to guarantee the continuation of the student’s instruction at ASV until grade 12 in case the insured person (normally parents) suffers one of the incidents covered by the policy such as death, total professional disability for his/her regular occupation or total disability. This insurance expires at the age of 65. Exclusions: Pre-existing conditions (among others). This insurance is available according to the Law on Data Protection.  
 


ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
 
REGISTRATION
If a student is registered before the beginning of the academic year but attendance occurs later,, 100% of the annual registration fee should be paid, as well as, 100% of the annual book fee and 50 % of the “Tuition” portion for  the months from September until the month of attendance. Likewise, 100% of the month in which the student begins will be invoiced.
 
If the registration and attendance occurs after the academic year has started, 100% of the annual registration fee, 100% of the annual book fee and 100% of the monthly payment in the month of attendance  will be invoiced.
 
 
 
CONDITIONS FOR WITHDRAWAL
 
A) DEFINITE
If the withdrawal occurs before the end of the academic year, the enrolment and school material fees will not be reimbursed. Parents pay 100% of the invoice for the months when the student was enrolled and in addition they pay 60% of the tuition fees from the month in which the withdrawal is effective until the end of June of the academic year (the maximum amount will be the amount corresponding to the share).
B) TEMPORARY (Not applicable to students that have not attended school) 
 
TEMPORARY WITHDRAWALS FOR A PERIOD LONGER THAN AN ACADEMIC YEAR
 
Enrolment is not guaranteed.
 
TEMPORARY WITHDRAWAL FOR A PERIOD SHORTER OR EQUAL TO A FULL ACADEMIC YEAR
 (Not applicable to new students that have not attended school)
 
This type of temporary withdrawal will guaranteee a reservation of a place with the following financial conditions:
 
TEMPORARY WITHDRAWAL FOR THE WHOLE ACADEMIC YEAR
  • Payment of 100% of the registration fee
  • Tuition for two months
 
TEMPORARY WITHDRAWAL FOR PART OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR
·         This temporary withdrawal means that the student will not start in September (having finished the last academic year in June). That is, he/she will start sometime during the following academic year.
 
  • Payment of 100% of the registration fee
  • Payment of 100% of the book fee
  • 50% of tuition fees from September until the month previous to enrolment (the amount will be a maximum of two monthly payments)
  • 100% of the invoice from the month of enrolment until June
·         Withdrawal during a part of an academic year. Temporary withdrawals of less than three months are not included in this criteria and must pay 100 % for each month absent. For absences of three months or more, the following criteria apply:
 
  • Payment of 100 of the registration fee
  • Payment of 100% of the book fee
  • 50% of tuition fees for monthly payments in which the student is absent (the amount will be a maximum of 2 monthly payments)
  • 100% of the invoice from the month of enrolment until the end of the academic year.
·         Withdrawal during the academic year, until the end of June. This type of temporary withdrawal has the following conditions:
 
  • Payment of 100 of the registration fee
  • Payment of 100% of the book fee
  • 50% of monthly tuition fees for the months in which the student is absent (the amount will be a maximum of 2 monthly payments)
