Community Service

Community Service at ASV

Throughout the year students and faculty participate in a variety of community service activities, supporting local, national and international organizations, including Manos Unidas and Caritas.

The school values encourage students to be caring and responsible members of the community. Through participation in different projects students are able to demonstrate these values to the wider community.

As part of the course requirement for Grade 11, students are required to complete 30 hours of community service. Those students going on to complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program are required to do a further 20 hours, in order to fulfill the requirements for Community Action Service (CAS) a core component of the program which promotes experiential learning through a range of artistic, sporting, physical and service activities.
