On the TV screen in the front entrance, parents and visitors can see the events that will be taking place during the following month. In addition, performances taking place in the theatre can be viewed on this screen.
AGENDA
The student Agenda allows teachers and parents to maintain daily communication and to report any incidents that may occur.
NEW FAMILY/AMBASSADOR LUNCHEON
A welcome pot-luck luncheon with an international flavor is held on a Saturday in October at the school. Our ambassador families host families new to the school at this special luncheon.
ASV DAY
ASV Day is held on a Saturday in April or May to celebrate the ASV community. Students, parents and staff from preschool, elementary and high school participate in this celebration of our school community. With bouncy castles, fish ponds, a fairground, fashion shows, talent shows, storytellers, sports competitions, workshops, face painting, art galleries, raffles and a paella contest, there is something for everyone. With everyone participating, this is truly a day of celebration.
PARENT WORKSHOPS
Workshops offered by our teachers on a variety of topics is a popular even held on a Saturday in November. Parents have first-hand knowledge of our approach to teaching and how children learn. Topics of interest are solicited from parents so that we may prepare materials that are topical and interesting to all.
CELEBRATION OF LEARNING DAY
At the end of the school year parents of children in Grades 1 to 6 are invited to participate in interactive activities that have been prepared by the students and teachers. This is truly a day of learning for the parents as their children lead them to discover solutions to problems and play games that they have created. Showcasing student learning is an important part of celebrating our school.
PARENT PRESENTATIONS
We invite parents to come and speak to classes or larger groups about their professions or interests. These presentations expand the awareness and learning of our students and offer an opportunity for students to understand careers in real life and to learn new information in a different way.
