Researching the Planet

How well do you know the planet earth? Are there other countries you have never heard of? The aim of this project was to learn something about:

• A country and culture you have not previously visited or studied
• The lifestyle and culture of that country
• The art produced in that country (whether painting, sculpture, textiles, architecture, design crafts or other……)

And then to:
• Identify any noticeable differences between a sample of the visual arts of that culture and a similar or contrasting sample from your own (Comparative Study)
• Produce a piece of art work in any media of your choice stimulated from and “in parallel with” your research
